The FEO story began in 1996 by a small number of distinguished orthodontists who were seeking ways on how to circulate the State of the Art in European Orthodontics throughout Europe.

One year later FEO was officially created to improve cooperation between European Orthodontic Societies and promote Orthodontics and dento-facial Orthopaedics.

At present, FEO has 22 Member Societies from an equal number of countries and offers every year a substantial number of Awards to competent and young colleagues to encourage research and improve clinical practice.
